gin la!! meh meh zao! ka neng ar?! pa pa papapa papapapa BUTOH! lol . roaring waves and growling stadium. newspaper confetti's flying in the air. the atmosphere in the stadium was magnificent. one section of malaysians jeering at the rest of the stadium, only to get boo-ed back by their lefts and rights. when SG players was not able to finish a goal, M'sians will stand up and do to us the "dun have leh" hand action. lol when when its their turn, we boo them and do the same action, only that we have 10 times the power. then the police will crowd around them. making sure they dun hantam us in anyway.

haha i had so much fun today shouting and taunting spectators and players. and singaporean cheers, in abusive hokkien, funny malay taunting... ha really entertainment to the max.

bt on the whole, Sg soccer is really not up to the standard yet.. those players are too lazy, a couple of good passes but little support to finish off the job i thk. but today's gou siong turned hero is that lionel louise! lucky he saved that last PK.

ok, done. hate and love myself. cliche, wadever.

sometimes, i really hate myself for being so weak, but i do love myself for being able to not show it out. the same goes wif my frens...

and this will be the winning entry.. cos its really one of the works i am really proud of. and one by one, i am going to scrutinize them say wad i love and hate abt every single one of those pple.. eg, sijia, love it when she scold fuck and bitch around. lols, just shows that she can be wad she wants to be around us, damn cool. wad i dun like, when she say "fuck u lor, or fuck him lor" to one of us. (she is not in the category of hate and love.) ok, thats abt it.

like wad my statics & mechanics lecturer said, only japanese can think of crazy ideas and are really creative and good... well its true. Damn those japs! really good at anything they do.
just like the show One Litre of Tears. Not named one litre for nothing. Really can dehydrate you by watching sia! i have to prepare a bottle of 1.4 litre mineral water just in case i dehydrate due to excessive loss of water through my eyes.
these japanese actors, script writers (of course this is based on a true account, but they changed the story a bit la), composers, directors.. blardy good. knowing when to show the right expressions and able to portray it naturally. knowing how to bring out kinship, friendship social issues and all with only tears, smiles, and using only words like "gomeino", "arigato" all precisely timed and said to ignite the tear gas. Not to mention the music, all along it was there, adding atmosphere and effect into the show. just like making winter season snow.

(cos i am the only one who drew smthing abt it) but i cant seem to post that winning entry leh, cos my scanner is down. i have a new scanner. but i would have to tear away the pages of my favourite sketch book if i were to scan. cos its a scanner cum fax cum copier. but i won anyway.
ok, another thing is that.. i think i have a problem, physically. Try doing this the next time u hold a chopstick. try to kiak a tread of noodle or a dao gei, or anything. lol! i find this rather amusing when i heard the news. that someone in my uni class hates me! calls me by the name, 'a pile of bones' hahaha, kan ho chio la! ok, situation is lik this.... this particular person, ok, i find that i dun click well wif.... well, bottom line is that i do not hate her, i just cannot find myself making an attempt to make conversation wif her... so when she talks to me or tries to joke if me, i inevitably gave her a not so warm feeling.. yoyoyoy! i simply love my camp nowadays.. (though i still disapprove of many people inside, but who cares..) ya, as i was saying, i love my camp, the dogs that roam the parade square when there are no vehicles, the moths and butterflies that keep flying into the fluorenscent lights, the occasional snakes that lie in the middle of the road, the squirrels which our own trainers caught in the trg ground, ya and the endless trail of ants in the toilet cubicles to keep u occupied while u are doing business, small or big. and now, chicken de' cruella.

one fine day as i was walking into camp late as usual, i saw a suspicious figure prowling along the sides of my parade square. on twos and with much pride, it was Cruella! (machiam she is the RSM of my camp) i ran towards her, stomping the ground. HAHAHA! den i saw my office door opened, out came anthony chua, yawning, den he smiled, matching the glint of insanity as our eyes met, we grinned at one another, nodding furiously with our tongue hanging out. we ran off in the direction of that clueless cruella, blocking her route of escape whenever she fluttered to another direction. we had only one place to guide her into... our office, the resource room!
and poof! in she went.. we had a hard time taming that chic, it hid under tables and in between the library shelves in my office, squeezing thru one shelve as we detoured here and there. Well, we subdued her alright. BUT damn! she walks arnd resource room like she the queen of the room, poot poot everywhere except her enclosure. haha, suddenly my resource room became the centre of attraction, where many poped by and ask "where's the chicken?" haha..

Mumps is a disease caused by a virus that usually spreads through saliva and can infect many parts of the body, especially the parotid salivary glands. The parotid salivary glands, which produce saliva for the mouth, are found toward the back of each cheek, in the area between the ear and jaw. In cases of mumps, these glands typically swell and become painful.

The disease has been recognized for several centuries, and medical historians argue over whether the name "mumps" comes from an old word for "lump" or an old word for "mumble."

Mumps was common until the mumps vaccine was licensed in 1967. Before the vaccine, more than 200,000 cases occurred each year in the United States. Since then the number of cases has dropped to fewer than 1,000 a year, and epidemics have become fairly rare. As in the prevaccine era, most cases of mumps are still in children ages 5 to 14, but the proportion of young adults who become infected has been rising slowly over the last two decades. Mumps infections are uncommon in children younger than 1 year old.

After a case of mumps it is very unusual to have a second bout because one attack of mumps almost always gives lifelong protection against another. However, other infections can also cause swelling in the salivary glands, which might lead a parent to mistakenly think a child has had mumps more than once.

Signs and Symptoms
Cases of mumps may start with a fever of up to 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39.4 degrees Celsius), as well as a headache and loss of appetite. The well-known hallmark of mumps is swelling and pain in the parotid glands, making the child look like a hamster with food in its cheeks. The glands usually become increasingly swollen and painful over a period of 1 to 3 days. The pain gets worse when the child swallows, talks, chews, or drinks acidic juices (like orange juice).

Both the left and right parotid glands may be affected, with one side swelling a few days before the other, or only one side may swell. In rare cases, mumps will attack other groups of salivary glands instead of the parotids. If this happens, swelling may be noticed under the tongue, under the jaw, or all the way down to the front of the chest.

Mumps can lead to inflammation and swelling of the brain and other organs, although this is not common. Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) and meningitis (inflammation of the lining of the brain and spinal cord) are both rare complications of mumps. Symptoms appear in the first week after the parotid glands begin to swell and may include: high fever, stiff neck, headache, nausea and vomiting, drowsiness, convulsions, and other signs of brain involvement.

Mumps in adolescent and adult males may also result in the development of orchitis, an inflammation of the testicles. Usually one testicle becomes swollen and painful about 7 to 10 days after the parotids swell. This is accompanied by a high fever, shaking chills, headache, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain that can sometimes be mistaken for appendicitis if the right testicle is affected. After 3 to 7 days, testicular pain and swelling subside, usually at about the same time that the fever passes. In some cases, both testicles are involved. Even with involvement of both testicles, sterility is only a rare complication of orchitis.

Additionally, mumps may affect the pancreas or, in females, the ovaries, causing pain and tenderness in parts of the abdomen.

In some cases, signs and symptoms of mumps are so mild that no one suspects a mumps infection. Doctors believe that about one in three people may have a mumps infection without symptoms.

ok! what is national day to u!? Its just a holiday, but its not just a holiday for me. Its a day when we must all remember the events that made us what we are today. War world, Jap occupation, Roits, Merger and Seperation, Depression, and many more. This yr's celebration is made such that the whole island celebrates together, in the heartlands, north east west, marina and padang. The strage thing is, almost half of the people celebrating are not Singaporeans. They are foriegners from china, (pei du mama) from india (the usual, workers) from European cntrys, (tourist i guess). thats it for the spectators' part. Off to the working parties. SAF, i must say, is very good at wayanging! For a special show (tri sercice show) they put up, they had lots of "callefare" actors. ya. the casts are as follows: elite guards (parachuters), F-15 fighter jets, artilleries, super puma(fast flying heli) chinook, light strike veh (LSV), bionic tank, lots of infantry soldiers, last but not least, a handful of dumb enemies.
first, 4 paratroopers parachute down into the marina south grass field, 3 of them lost footing and fell down upon reaching ground, packed up thier parachutes and when to hide behind the big tv screen, den the enemies came out of their tent, adopted some defence position and stay there, next the 2 F-15 came out flying low, suddenly, 2 grass patch explode! simulating air strike, hao le, the 2 artis camp out from the back stage, shift their turrets up and down, den the same grass patch explode again. den 2 chinooks, each hanging an LSV appeared in the sky, it flew behind the canopy of trees behind the stage and disappeared, wah, den 2 superpumas flew above our heads, across the field. hah, next is the bionic tank, 2 of it rampage towards enemy territory. this time, the enemies retaliate, both sides got a lot of smoke coming out from the ground. suprise suprise, the bionic opens it rear and a whole bunch of infantry guys came out. charge thru the enemies head on. at this time, the superpumas fly around, like the callefares u see when the 2 big bosses fight one on one in TVs, zoom here zoom there, appearing around the scene, but not participating. den the artis did the same thign again, turrets up and down. once again, the SAF has sucessfully captured its objective! well done!

To the public, this is a nice experience, to the working party, its all show and they dunnoe whether their hard work and fatigue would be exhanged for offs, to the organising commitee, its all for show and image. to the foriegners, to hell with u! to me, just gimme back my pink IC! and i discovered that i hate children who are botak!

ok, thats about all, b4 i forgot, a few of my frens also share the same fate as me, andrew, richard kua weixiang, andy hu, jd, aaron, ya, one more thing, the first few lines bout rememberin is all bullshit. :) have a nice weekend

i dun like to see guang fend appear immediately on my screen when my blog loads.. so i throw in this new post.
This is the first time i feel that chinese culture is a bagage..
Take a funeral session for example. A very short session of the funeral would last 3 days, full session, 5 days, (i think) and during this period of time, your life daily life would be disrupted very badly. or maybe just disrupted.. not badly.
how? a standard funeral package offers sending off ceremony, chanting scriptures ceremony staying overnights. the sending off requires the family members to walk around in circles, circles and more circles. at one point of the circling, they are to ascend a few flights of stairs and down again to simulate a nai he qiao. upon reaching the top of the stairs, they have to throw coin(s) into a pail or tub of water. and must save 2 or more coins for themselves at the end of the ceremony.. this is repeated for about 18 circles? or 16? i forgot.. as for the chanting scripture ceremony, family members are given a booklet of scripture. they are to chant along with the taoists. some do not understand it, some could not catch the words, some cannot keep out with the irregular pace of chanting. well, its just to signify that the family members are also involved in blessing the spirit. Ya, and at some parts of the chant, the participants are to kneel down, stand up, kneel down and up again for a number of times.
The organisers of the funeral are to entertain, tell repeated stories to different guest, burn the joss paper at all times when there are no ceremonies. thats the proceedings for the first second third fourth day and night the fourth night, ( the last night) big houses, maids, servants, drivers, cars, passport, toiletries, all nessecities of the living, topped with ingot look alike joss paper (all custom made with paper) are lighted and burned in a big fire. the arsonals are to form a circle, or semi circle, around the burning pile and hit the outside of the circle with rattan sticks, at the same time shouting the name of the person.. i mean, the name of the recieving party. ya, next morning, all are to kneel beside the coffin and .... after some long wait (kneeling down) the coffin is loaded up into the van, participants board the chartered bus, off to the crematorium, again a short ceremony, den they are channeled to a viewing hall to see the coffin moved into the furnace.. (all fully automated and machinelised) this is the part when most people crumble. i heard one of my cousins crying out loud the name of the decease, the name got silenced by her crying.. and ended with a muffled "byebye..." well, thats the end for the non relatives, the relatives and family still has to carry on with more ceremonies more joss sticks and joss paper burning, backed to the void deck they came from, they wash their face with flower water. pack up, clean up. foriegn talents are often employed with the aid of an ang bao to clean up.
ha! done? no! remember the furnace? he/she who signs the death certificate of the decease will have to collect the remains from the incineration. den a few more rituals to settle the ashes, spirit into the new HDB apartments or condo apartments.
not to mention that througout these period of time, there will be little rest for the unwilling organisers.
should i have thought this way? i dunnoe, from this event, it is oso evident that the male plays an important role in chinese culture. as during the ceremony, the eldest son will have to do most of the job. sons are alwayes in front of daugthers. during the crossing of nai he qiao, ladies who are having their menses are forbided to ascend the stairs. so u see, such part of the chinese culture are actually a bagage to the modern society. take the funeral part of the culture for instance, i thk it will phase out in about 2 more genrations.. our chidren's generation. for my case, i thk i wun wan them to organise such events for my afterlife. wad bout u?

damn! its a great show alrite.
though i personally thk that the sat night one was the best. wad can i say.. now that its over, i really feel that tis a great sense of achievement. ya. from now on, there will be no more rushing from Yew Tee to Tanah Merah, no more floor wiping sessions, no more rolling on the floor warm ups, no more being the ahmad for my fellow cast, no more black face from the director, no more attitude from my sound op, no more missing "superstar", no more going home late at night... no more...
it has been a rather taxing 3 and half months for me. but it is the most enriching and fruitful period since my enlistment date till now.
i really wanna thank my group..

yepyepyep, put a bunch of army guys in a room and guess wad would happen? A SERIES OF OPERATIONS! first, its 2LT Kitson, next, CPL kevin, third, woohoo, 3SG Roy Teng, and last but not least, LTA(NS) Ang K. S. Basically, we lure them into the seemingly harmless and fun filled room. Den all of a sudden, POOF! the target is pinned down upon with all four limbs locked tightly to one person each. as u might well know, safety is our primary concern, we will twist and turn the legs of the subject with all our might until it has subcumb. at the same time, the head is pressed down tightly with only one palm. with two more person kneeling down on each arm of the subject, they wold use their free hands to undo any unneccesssary garments on the prey. Not to forget, the camera man to snap down all these wonderful operations. But of cos, the prey would logically become one of us and hunt for a new target in order to commence the next operation. the days in the Army...

nah this! the tester din even take out the assessment checklist throughout my drive in the car. he just sit back, relac order me to turn left turn right. it is only when we go for debrief, den he take out this form, tick a few ticks, turn the paper behind, tick again, and signed.. i was shocked.. sho fast?!!?! haha i asked him, anything else for me sir? den he said, go and watch the defensive driving video.
thats it..

while waiting for the video, i met a few of the guys and a girl who was in the test with me.. seeing them simply means that we all passed. out of 8 testees, only the four of us made it, so its like the passing % is 50% haha quite high. anyway, congradulations to me and the rest. after the show, we went up to that traffic police section to endorse our form, give foto and get our temperory licence. wow, it seems FOREVER.. but still i got it. and now i can officially and legally drive a car. ahaha
but ya noe wad? i still hate to drive...
